Vet just gave Fortiflora. It has Brewers Yeast in it. My cat has a major fungal infection. Wouldn't that be just aggravating and promoting the disease? April is on Fluconazole to address the disease Cryptococcosis.
Not a yeast expert. Thank you for any input.

The brewers yeast is a nutritional supplement and flavoring. It won't affect the fungal infection. You can ask the vet to be sure. If you are still concerned, try Advita instead of the FortiFlora: VETONE Advita Probiotic Nutritional Cat Supplement, 30 count - Chewy.com

FortiFlora and Advita are generally used for the (not so great) probiotic properties and the yummy taste gets most any cat to eat. If the vet prescribed it for the probiotic part, there are far better products you can use instead including Human probiotics
