I am THIS
close to going RAW or homemade. Even if it runs me into the hole and I have to live in my horse's stall... this has to be settled.
So... Addiction food trial was going wonderfully, until now. He's scratching his face again, more so than before. So it's back on the z/d we go. This is SO frustrating! I just don't know what to do!
The only thing I can think, besides a possible protein allergy, is that all of the foods [except for the SD Kitten] that he reacted to has had Peas in it. IVD Duck & Pea, IVD Venison & Pea. The Addiction, Unagi & Seaweed contains peas. Their Brushtail and Veggies also contains Peas, so there's no point in trying it.
At this point, I don't think it's a protein allergy, as there is no common protein between these foods [that I can think of]. The only thing I can think of would be peas.
Any help or advice? Is there any other food out there that's good for cats with allergies? I am so tired of this, it's got to suck to have an itch that you can never control [which is what he has]. I feel so helpless.
I'm 100% sure he didn't get into anything, he may have hopped on the counter and licked a raw chicken this morning, but he's been itching since a few days ago.
I'm really at my wits end. Any other Duck & pea is out of the question [Natural Balance, etc]. I have no idea what to do.
