What are some foods that have probiotics in them. My foster kittens are on the mend, but their little systems are wiped out and they won't touch anything like yogurt or buttermilk.
When my cats needed those (they will need them again soon, I'm sure...), the vet sold me that brown pasty stuff that was ALL probiotics. And my cats even loved it, didn't have to mix it to their food, even though it smelled pretty bad to me!lol
Tsk...I don't remember the name....*sigh* the vet only told me that it was probiotics and they gave it to me in a seringue. Kind of costly...25$ (canadian) for one seringue, wich lasted 3 days (for two cats)
Yes, try. I think my vet might have ordered the stuff when I asked. or they had it already...I don't know...it's a pretty big place, they call themselves a Veterinary Hospital...I always wonder what's the difference?
I use human capsules the powder is easy hide in wet food and seems to taste okay since the younger one will eat it off my finger... Natural choice has thema nd they are freeze dried you have to read the panel, no claim on the older packages the % panel has some numbers now..

check right above the vit c
the food may help but I would supplement since they have had digestive trauma
We get Probiocin from the vet about 3 days into any antibiotic treatments.
It's a white gel in a dial-a-dose syringe, the cats seem to love it and will lick it right off of our fingers.
