Following me into the Kitchen

Very often when I get off of my bed to go into the kitchen, once I open the fridge or a cabinet, Dolly comes running over. She meows, plumps on the floor, stares up at me, and rolls on her back meowing.

The kitchen is a small cove kitchen in a 1 floor studio.

Is she acting as if she thinks I'm getting a treat for her?

She knows she has your attention there. Do you usually give her a belly rub when she flops? If so, then she has you trained the way she wants.

When I go into the kitchen, I have an audience as soon as I get there. They will even come running from the back porch to see what I am getting.

I don't give her a belly rub while in the kitchen. Sometimes I'll have her follow me a few feet away to the living room to play. Otherwise, it's back into the bedroom and she hops onto the bed with me.
