What is the best way to fold a fitted sheet? Is there an answer to this age-old question? When I told mine they came out as just a blob.
That's pretty much how I (try) to do it. I find that spreading the sheet out on the bed and folding it from there helps me do a better job. I just walk from side to side along the bed and fold that way. I also do that with our top sheets. (I tend to get some feline help along the way, too.)It's so easy to do! It's a bit difficult to explain it in writing, but once you learn you'll be amazed at how neat your sheet sets are. First, you know how there is a short seam at each corner of the sheet? The trick is to put those all together, one inside the other. Basically, you take one corner in one hand, an adjacent corner in the other hand (it helps to poke a finger into the point made by the seam), bring those corners together and flip one over the other (like pulling a hood over your head; the corner on your left hand is a noggin and the corner on the right is the hood). Do the same with the other two corners. The sheet will be folded in half neatly, with two corners inside the other two. Then you repeat, taking one side and folding it over the other, in the same way (hood on noggin); the sheet will be folded in quarters; after that, it's easy to fold it neatly and tuck it into the matching flat sheet (that should already be folded). Some people then tuck the sheet set into a matching pillowcase to store them all together.
I know that's probably confusing to visualize as you read it, so here's a video on youtube that demonstrates it, though once you get the hang of it you don't have to be as fussy about it as the guy in the video is:
I used to work in a hotel. This method doesn't take long to get used to and you'll never forget it once you get the hang of it.
That's me, also! Lol![ Personally; I don't even care anymore! I'm just happy they make it to the linen closet!
I agree - I just kind of fold them as best I can and just smash them down as flat as I can.
That's how I learned to do it from my Mom way back when. If I'm in the mood or reorganizing my linen closet, I take the time to make them neat. However, I hate folding stuff, so most of the time I still follow the method, but it's haphazard and not as neat and more like a blob, LOLhere's a video on youtube that demonstrates it, though once you get the hang of it you don't have to be as fussy about it as the guy in the video is:

I don't think I would even try to fold the king size sheets without something big to help! We still only have one set of sheets for our king size bed; so they get washed and put right back on!Twin or double fitted sheets never posed a problem for me, but king-sized were a real pain till I started throwing them over a clothesline and using it as a folding aid. I don't do a particularly neat job, but they're folded.
