few questions about my cat

1.  My cat can't figure out the feeder ball I got for her.  Does anyone else
 use these products?  My sister has cats and they can't figure them out either.

Should I put treats in the ball for more incentive?

Or Should I starve her for a night and just leave food only in the feeder ball.

I try putting her in front of it and nudging her into it so food comes out, but

when she's hungry she doesn't seem to use it.

2.  My cat is stalking everything in my backyard.  Normal I know.  Could she

ever catch a squirrel.  She's really been stalking one, and the squirrel seems

pretty confident and almost seems to antagonize her sometimes/

But I feel bad sometimes that these animals are being hunted by a cat that

is being spoon fed, and doesn't seem fair.  I'm worried that like before

winter they might not get enough food cause they have to show caution because

of my cat.

Do you think I should feed the animals alittle here and there?  I left them some

food before last winter.  What do I feed them.  I've been giving them peanuts

and grapes.

Why are you using a feeder ball? Is there a reason for it?
I would not starve your cat. They may not like the ball for whatever reason. I suggest food in a dish.

As for squirrels, a cat can catch it, but that's nature. I'd be more worried about the squirrel biting the cat and causing an infection.

These feeder balls are for cats who eat too much. Does your cat eat too much? If not, you shouldn't be using this. If your cat doesn't use it, use a bowl to feed her instead. Don't starve her. 

If you feel bad that these animals are being hunted by a spoon fed cat, don't let her go outside. Another reason for her not  to go outside is that the animals could hurt her. Also, you don't need to worry about the outside animals' food because they know how to find their own food.
