Since you've mentioned glucose syrup frequently in your posts, I looked it up, never having bought it here (USA). It seems it's known as "confectioner's syrup" in this country. Kroger's and Wal-mart's seem to have it. Specialist shops dealing with cake-decorating supplies also carry it.
Tx, and it may even be useful.
But Im not talking about glucose syrup, Im talking about glucose sugar.
Its usually sold as powder. Or smallish cakes, feks for sport persons / candy.

But yeah, a often use of glucose sugar / dextrose in with baking, so I suppose confencioners syrup may be a fluid equivalent.. Hopefully it IS glucose sugar in fluid form.

A quick look said glucose in powdered form is also sold by confectioners' suppliers, so it should be available relatively easily.

hello cat friends!!
I have had Mama Kitty officially for 17 days now.
She had saddlebags and was ready to pop (I thought) when I got her. I was able to express milk from her tiets over a week ago.
She changes positions a lot and has become friendly with me this morning she came out of her cave and batted her paw at me as if to say "you're the one who feeds me ,right? Sup!?"
I have been thinking any minute now for over 2 weeks.
Just definitely not having a false pregnancy because the movement that I'm feeling is definitely kitten movement. I did mistake intestinal movement for a kitten movement years ago with a cat that I brought in from our neighborhood thinking she was pregnant and she never did give birth. But with this movement you can actually see it and it's more random and focal. I don't have any doubt at all that she is pregnant.. so I want to feel safe to say that it has to be within the next few days since it's been 17 days that she had large saddlebags.... She is a feral cat but doesn't seem horribly skinny around the edges, otherwise I would say maybe she was just showing very very early.
I guess my question is do you guys think it still is going to be within the next couple days or not at all? She has been getting up and moving around a lot and uses the litter box literally about 15 times a day. She completely fills it in one day.
I can't bring her to the vet because she is so thorough that she would completely freak out and regress in her progress socializing. When she came here she was so freaked out that she was knocking things over trying to get away it was pitiful. She was so terrified that she was actually paralyzed at one point. I don't want to freak her out now that she's finally feeling secure. I'd say she's been feeling secure for about a week but she did get out of my bathroom and went under my bed one day and went right back to the paralyzed behavior. She's been getting up and moving around so much that I feel like she has been in early labor for at least 3 days. I guess I can honestly say it really should be any day now two weeks ago I didn't know that it could be any day now or maybe 2 weeks haha.... No I don't think I could add two weeks on and honestly say that's a possibility...any thoughts? I'm starting to go crazy worrying about her and her kittens. Do you think it still should be any day now? I need some help that shall be okay and she's still going to have her babies... I was so happy to be rescuing her from a life of misery with her kittens on the street. now both she and her kittens will know what love is. She just went back to the litter box the second time in an hour...ughhh!!

I've noticed that there are several other fosters who have mama's ready to deliver any day now so if you would like to compare notes we can do it here on this thread or I can start a new thread whatever the moderators prefer we can have a thread that is just for kittens watch late February if you would like to... Then we can compare notes and keep each other company!!

:yeah: Moderator here. Please do not start a group thread. In this forum we ask people to not make multiple threads. Kitten season is coming quick and our Team members and forum members that regularly help out are going to get very, very busy. As someone that knows absolutely nothing about cats and kittens and can offer no help to these wonderful people I find it important to do what we can to not let them get burned out. Over the years we found it helps them out enormously to have all the information about a cat and their pregnancy, delivery and kittens in a single thread. You can certainly comment on each others threads and you can start a group PM if you want to talk privately, but if you have questions about your cat it really is best to keep it to your thread. If questions start getting posted in multiple threads or in the wrong thread you are making a lot of extra work for the Moderators and our wonderful Team members.

Okay, I'm sorry, I definitely don't want to make more work for other people.
