Feral mama - strange behavior right after birth.

I think you've got a young, inexperienced stressed out kitty there.

She is not feral but has lived without regular human interactions mostly or since kittenhood so she's uptight now that hormones and mixed emotions about the babies are here.

This can be risky for the babies too, so she really must feel safe and isolated.

If the dead baby is still there, grab a small hand towel, get some tuna, put it in a baggie and the juice in a dish and go to her calmly and quietly, talk in a sweet soft voice so she knows you are coming nearer, sit on the floor before getting to the closet and scoot your way over to her, much less intimidating.

Offer the dish of juice while holding it, when she starts drinking it hold it so her head is away from her kits, while drinking swipe the kitten up and put it behind you or out of sight from her.

Kitten needs to come out now.

Is the towel/bedding dry in there?

Does she still leave them alone at all? If so they need a heat source.

Her food and water should be near her now.
