My Grace, roughly about year and a half year old got out accidently on Tuesday morning . It's now Saturday .. I saw her Wednesday morning , I opened up the door and scared her and she went running across the street. It was 5:30 in the morning here in Ohio so it wasn't totally dark as it gets lighter earlier.. I live in a neighborhood , so across the street are houses, then a development behind that then a busier street and then we have metroparks that go on for miles.... My fear she got that far... I got her 9 months ago . Resqued her at a resteraunt .. Feral cat . So I got her at possibly 5 or 6 months .. Was rough in the beginning .. Almost in tears everyday wondering if I was over my head .. She got out once , about week after I got her . She was back with in 2 days... Had to entice her with food to get her in but she got in.. Been in ever since then .. Slowly she has warmed up to us.. To where now I can pet her , she purrs , comes up on bed and sleeps beside me.. She loves my other cat Brady who is almost 3 ... I was able to get her to vet only once, had to trick her to get in .. Vet said she is FIV positive and they could not find her Uterus . So she got lot going on .. Why vet did not explore more on the uterus I don't know.. She goes in heat.. We have come such a long way in the 9 months I truly would not change a thing...... I know lot of cats will find its way back .. But with Grace being feral , is there any hope she may come back like other cats..???? My thought is she might be more timid out there.... I so hope she comes back ! I miss her as well as Brady
