I've used the Feliway diffusers continually for about 5 years now and it doesn't alter any personalities, just seems to take the edge off. My "middle child", Moose, can get a little testy around his pesky little sister, and the Feliway seems to calm him.
A few weeks ago I didn't notice one of the diffusers ran out and could really tell a difference in Moose. He was a lot more cranky. But like anything else, it probably doesn't work with all cats, but it's worth a try!
