I love a BLT with the thick cut bacon and fresh tomatoes. Put it on multigrain bread with that horseradish wasabi mayo from frenchs to spice it up. I think I must run to the store.

Real Philly cheesesteaks, Italian hoagies, bagels and lox, and corned beef on rye from Jewish delicatessens, with the requisite Jewish pickle! Maybe you have to be from the Northeastern U.S. to understand.

I rarely eat sandwiches anymore, but when I did these were my favorites:
a good Reuben, authentic pastrami on rye( oh yum), fried haddock, good mixed italian meats sub, sausage and peppers
, toasted ham and cheese, a Burger King Whopper the way they were before Burger King was a chain, and back when one cost just $.45 (oooh does that ever show my age!!!).

Roast Beef and gravy with good mashed potatoes on the side, oh I could go on and on. I miss sandwiches!

Sandwhiches - my favourite!

I love Smoked chicken, lettuce and mayonaise on Brown bread.

I love Crunchy peanut butter on White bread.

I love BLT bagels.

I looooooooooooove fried egg sandwhiches.

Anything with meat, lettuce, cheese and beetroot is delicious as well!

So, do you make your own mayo like any good Southerner should?

No ma'am, I cannot tell a lie, we don't. Ususally use Bama, Kraft or Sauers mayo. *hangs head in shame, waiting for the cat'o'nine'tails*

I'll take just about anything in a sandwich except egg salad, fried egg, and some fish.

One that comes to mind is the ham salad/coney island spread that a local grocery butcher used to make. He'd take the left over ends from the loaves of deli meat, run them threw the meat chopper with cheese, pickles, and some other stuff and sell it. It was a most vibrant pink color and deee-lish!
That man sold his store and retired and his asst. butcher tried running a market of his own making the same meat spread but had to close.

Mmm, melted cheese on a sandwich...
