Yah that is what I was getting at. It is a sad thing people do and is very common in the US, many countries ban the procedure. Declawed cats can develop strange behavior issues because they lack one of their main defenses and can get aggressive, and sometimes it gets painful even late in life and they can develope aversions to textures. I'm glad this is not the case with you but it still makes your situation baffling. I hope a vet can diagnose a problem so your kitties behavior can get back to normal.Originally Posted by Vik61
By the way, nobody here is suggesting declawing--it's not a good thing at all! The question about is he declawed meant maybe if he was declawed he was upset about not having his claws and therefore he is behaving badly.
