My Dad was like you. Learned it from his Mom who would go out of her way to run over a snake on the road. I am not fond of snakes but give them their space unless they are threatening mine. Then I would call my nephew who has no fear of them. During Desert Storm he was the first one into their tent at the end of the day to look for snakes and other not so nice critters.

Dh admitted tonight that he has extreme snake willys, but had to "man up" to take care of it. What a guy!!

That is a beautiful snake!

I've only seen Diamondbacks, as that's what we have around here. Not nearly as brightly colored as that one - the ones I've seen are quite drab and brown to blend in.

Glad your husband "manned up" to deal with it.
