My 4 year old outdoor cat has been shedding way more than usual lately. She usually always sheds a little, but right now her shedding is ridiculous. If she even barely touches an object, that object is covered in a ton of cat hair. Her hair is still smooth and soft though, and there are no bald spots. I have felt her skin to see if I could find anything abnormal and her skin still feels normal. Her appetite, energy, and urine/stool are all still normal. I've been brushing her almost every day and I could almost create another cat with the hair that comes out with the brush. I guess it could be just her spring shed, but she didn't shed this bad last spring, and my other outdoor cat isn't shedding that bad. I could just be overthinking a spring shed but I just wondered if there was anything that could be causing it that I haven't thought of. Thank you for any ideas!
