Yesterday my mom and I went out and bought a 6.5 lb. bag of Eukanuba kitten kibble for Pouncer. She's been eating wet food these first 6 months of her life, and I decided it was time she got kibble into her diet. We also wanted to start her on a routine where she could eat wet food for breakfast, we could put out a small bowl of kibble, and she would eat kibble whenever she got hungry, and my grandmother (who's rather old and feeble) wouldn't have to walk to our house (it's just across the street, but still) just to feed her lunch. Then mom would feed her another portion of wet food at night.
Well... I didn't introduce the kibble properly, I know now. >_< When I set out the bowl of kibble yesterday morning, she went straight at it and nearly ate all of it right then and there, despite that she'd JUST had breakfast.
Well, I set out a much smaller bowl of kibble this morning, about two hours after breakfast... and to my surprise, she sniffed at it and did the movements she does when she's covering up her poo in the litterbox. She did this about three times, and then walked away, much disgusted.
So... I'm guessing she doesn't like it? Could anyone tell me why, after she went with such a zest at it yesterday?
And... what do I do with this big bag 'ol kitten food now?
