OK, wanna give this a try? The way it works is I start the beginning of a fictional story with about a paragraph or two, & each following post is to pick up from the one before it, to keep the story "evolving" into situations each person can take over from the one before them. Use your imagination to keep the story interesting!

Pandora the Holloween Cat

The days were starting to get a nip in the air, and Pandora's fur was thick & glossy as she strutted through the crisp Autumn leaves in her backyard. Her beautiful golden eyes glimmered in the brilliant afternoon sunshine.

....named Peachy Marie.

Peachy had lived a lonely existence until Pandora came into her life only 2 months earlier. Pandora showed up on her porch, thin and bedraggled, tossed out like garbage from a home with people who never saw the beauty, intelligence, love, and sensitivity in all living things and the creatures of this world. She had given up all hope and was looking for a quiet place to die.

But Peachy had always known love and caring and the sanctity of each living thing. In her old age she had tended only to her house, yard, and garden, too worried to adopt for fear of not being able to see a pet through to old age, and to old to go out much, with few friends even still alive. But Pandora could not be ignored. Who would do such a thing to a poor kitty! Peachy went to her trunk in the attic and pulled out all the brushes, toys, remedies, and favorite bedding of her beloved kitties who had been her children and companions over many years, and who Peachy knew would want another kitty to experience the same joy with those cherished possessions.

Over the weeks and months with love and attention Pandora grew sleek and healthy, her matted fur carefully combed by Peachy Marie until it shone in the sunlight outside. And after weeks of laying in warm sun spots in the beautiful old house, it was time for Peachy Marie to open the porch door to her most treasured and beautiful garden for Pandora to explore. Out she went into the yard, the movement of the trees and flowers catching her eyes and ears like glitter in the wind. A forever home at last, she thought. How can I ever repay Peachy Marie?........

I know Pandora thought to herself, I'll become the warmest most affectionate lap cat and keep Peachy warm in the winters, a soft blanket at night by snuggling up to her. I'll try and do things I am able to do to help. Keep the garden clean for her and do little things in the house that I am able to do and so she began........

She chased the copper and red leaves from the path, dancing in and out of the flurries of leaves and brushing them with her bushy tail until they were safely covering the flower beds that looked frosted with early evening dew.  She hunted the leaves on the grass, grasping them in her claws as soon as they settled, and rolled her way across to the flower beds to deposit them as an even thicker layer of protection for the flowers.  Then she raced after the twigs and sticks that littered the ground, chasing them across the ground with her paws and mouth, playing as if with a mouse. This time she looked about her and saw a little mound of leaves and twigs in a corner, telling her that some small creature was curling up ready to sleep through the winter. Pandora started to carry the sticks across to this little pile........

Peachy stood at the window and watched as Pandora ran around the garden looking after all nature's wondrous things and then saw her start to go towards the little mound of twigs and leaves. When Pandora got closer she saw a tiny little black b white kitten lying there trying to hide it's little self. She stood and looked with worried eyes and then as if deciding something to herself nodded her head and picked up the little kitten by the scruff and gently brought it to

Peachy and set him gently on the floor and looked up at Peachy and gave a meow as if to say he also needs help. Oh Pandora. What will we do with another cat. Pandora made an 8 by weaving round Peaches legs and purring very very loudly. Alright laughed Peaches. We'll bring him up together..........

Peachy slowly bent down and put her hands around the tiny little kitten's body.  He was shivering and cold but his fur was as soft and fluffy as a cloud as she picked him up.  He weighed as light as a feather and she could feel his little bones not far under his fur.  He could only be five or six weeks old.  She cupped him in her warm hands and looked down at Pandora.  'You know he's going to run too fast and jump too high for me to keep him safe.  You will need to make sure he is nice and warm when he sleeps and make sure he is safe when he plays, but I will feed him and give him a roof over his head'.  She looked in to Pandora's eyes and knew she saw them smile back at her.  Peachy felt the little ball of fur wriggle and squirm until his nose poked out over the top of her hands and he set his white socked paws up on to her wrists. His wide blue eyes looked up at her .................

Scared but curious as well. Peachy told Pandora that they had to warm the kitten up and feed him. Peachy found a little box and put a piece of soft cloth in it, placed the kitten gently on the cloth and covered him with another soft cloth. The kitten immediately went to sleep. Peachy laughed and said to Pandora too much excitement for such a little kitten. Now. What to feed him.

Just then, Peachy noticed some tiny black specks around the kitten's eyes & ears. Something suddenly hopped out of the kitten's fur onto Peachy's hand. A flea! Apon closer inspection, she saw several of them crawling on the sleepy little creature, & Peachy knew she would have to give the kitten a good flea dip and waste no time, or the nasty little blood suckers would jump right on to Pandora, as well.
As Peachy started to gather the items needed to bathe the kitten, Pandora perched on the cluttered kitchen counter and stared with wide eyed curiosity at their new house guest.
"Watch out Pandora," said Peachy. "Your new little friend has a bad flea infestation! And now we must give him a nice bath with medicine to kill those awful bugs on him."
Peachy began running the warm water in the kitchen sink, and shook her head. Such a shame this poor little kitten was abandoned and almost starving, too. What would she name him? Or was she a fool to try and raise a kitten again, at her age? Yes, yes... but nevermind that. It would work out somehow. The old lady's face crinkled into a smile. "How about I call you Cupid? Because you have made me fall in love with you at first sight."

Peachy picked up little Cupid and took him to have the bath. He was most unhappy and showed it with little sharp claws but Peachy was ready for that so no scratching occurred. When it was over he looked like a drowned rat. But soon perked up after a good towel dry. I will need to deflea you too Pandora said Peachy just in case you got a flea or 2 when you carried Cupid but this only took a moment to rub a few drops into Pandora's furry neck. Pandora didn't mind. She knew that everything Peachy did was to help not to harm. Cupid was put back into the little box after Peachy changed the soft cloths to clean ones. Now we really must feed him Peachy said to Pandora. Mmmm what have I got for such a little kitten.......

Peachy tucked little Cupid in to the pocket of her old cardigan and rested her hand around him to keep him warm while she shuffled across the kitchen to look in Pandora's cupboard.  There was a little packet of Pandora's favourite chicken biscuit treats, and a couple of little trays of cat food. One fish, and one turkey.  I wonder if this little kitten will be old enough to manage these she thought, feeling the tiny kitten curled up, still and frightened in her pocket.  Cupid needed to eat something very soon and she had to get him nice and warm Peachy thought.  She looked at Pandora, and then at the cupboard.  Milk she thought, cows milk upset Pandora's stomach but she had a small carton of goats milk somewhere in her cupboard. Maybe that would be better when this little creature was so small and she didn't know how old he was.   She reached in to her own cupboard and found the carton. As she showed it to Pandora there was a slow purring sound as if to approve this for their new baby..............

Peachy warmed some of the goats milk watered down a tiny bit for cupid's digestion. She put the saucer and cupid onto the floor and cupid just lapped up all the milk. Then he looked at peachy with little droplets on his whiskers and then started to wash. While he was washing Peachy prepared a litter box for cupid. When he'd finished washing Peachy lifted Cupid up and put him in the litter box. It seemed that Cupid knew exactly what was expected of him and performed accordingly. He then climbed into his box, turned round and round, then curled up and went to sleep. Peachy crossed over to the telephone and gave an order to the grocery shop and ordered some necessities including kitten food. Then she went to her comfortable armchair and sank tiredly into it. Pandora came straight over, jumped on Peachy's lap, curled up and started to purr. Peachy moved her hands through Pandora's soft fur. They both relaxed and dropped off into restful sleep......

As Pandora purred slowly in time with Peachy's head nodding down gently towards her chest little Cupid burrowed down in to the cozy blankets in his basket and curled his paws in against his milk filled belly.  He couldn't remember ever feeling this full.  It made him sleepy.  Curled up tightly under the covers his nose peeked out for air, but he could see enough to keep an eye on the fluffy black cat that had carried him in to this strange place where everything seemed quiet.  He shivered as he remembered being put in to the bowl of water and then being wrapped up in the scratchy towel to be dried.  Suddenly Cupid felt very cold and he looked up at the scary black cat and the old woman. They looked warm and cozy sitting together on the chair. ' I wonder if I could get up there and feel the heat of that big cat's tummy fur' Cupid thought.  The big cat's fur looked so long and thick, and he was so little. Maybe she wouldn't notice if he climbed up quietly and snuggled in, just for a little bit.........

However he was just that little bit to small to jump up so he extended his arms and claws and climbed up. He was breathing hard from the effort and excitement. He crept silently to the big black cat and gently wriggled his way under Pandora's paws and into her warm tummy. Pandora stirred, sighed gave an absentminded lick to Cupid's head and all 3 of them slept quietly and comfortably until.....
The door bell rang. Peachy woke with a start. She looked at the 2 sleeping cats on her lap and smiled. She carefully moved them to the armchair when she stood up and they carried on sleeping, breathing in unison. Peachy went and opened the door. 'Good afternoon Miss Peachy' said the young man 'I've brought your shopping for you. I see you've got yourself another kitten' he said as he unpacked the groceries on the kitchen table and holding up a tin of kitten food. 'Oh yes' said Peachy 'Pandora brought in a tiny bedraggled kitten'. 'Well' laughed the young man and said 'she certainly brought it to the right house. I'll leave the bill on the table' and went closing the door behind him. Peachy started to put the groceries away but left the tin of kitten food on the table.
She looked lovingly at the two cats sleeping quietly together. Pandora opened her eyes looked down and saw Cupid curled up with her and she started to wash him. Cupid stretched and felt Pandora's rough tongue licking him and it gave him strange feeling like that had been done to him before but he couldn't remember.

Pandora and Cupid jumped down from the couch and walked into the kitchen together. Peaches thought how sweet they looked walking side by side. Pandora towering over Cupid. She said to them 'I bet you're both hungry'. Pandora answered with a meew. Peach es

Cupid's tiny little black and white body was huddled in next to Pandora and almost disappeared in her long fluffy body fur.  Peaches could hardly believe what she was doing.  How was she going to manage caring for this vulnerable little kitten?  She thought about what an amazing cat Pandora was to have brought in this little kitten, but she had never had a kitten before and she worried about how tired she felt and how stiff her bones were.  This little kitten was going to need a lot of looking after.  It was almost as if Cupid knew what she was thinking as right at that very moment he turned his heart shaped face towards her and his sky blue eyes blinked. He looked up at her with his head tilted off to one side and lifted up a front paw.  Pandora gave the crown of his head a big strong lick and Cupid almost fell over.   Her heart melted as she reached in for the cupboard for the trays of food and kitten milk.....

Oops.
Peaches reached into the cupboard and took down Pandora's plate and a similar one for Cupid. She took Pandora's food out of the fridge, put some on the plate and popped it into the microwave gor 15 seconds. Meanwhile she opened the tin of kitten food and put not too much on Cupid's plate. She took Pandora's plate out of the microwave and put both plates side by side on the mat on the floor. Two little heads bent over their plates and ate. First of all Cupid watched to see what Pandora was going to do and then copied her. Cupid at steadily until he'd emptied his plate. He stopped with a happy expression on his face. He looked at Pandora and then at peaches and did a little hiccup. Then he went to the litter box and performed well. He went back to Pandora who was washing herself and started to wash himself. Cupid was feeling very happy, warm and full up. He gave a little meow as if to say thank you, went to his soft bed and went to sleep, but not before he had turned around a few times. He then fell into a deep peaceful sleep. When he woke up it was dark outside.......

Suddenly Cupid felt cold and frightened. His little body shivered under his fur and the belly that had been full and round when he went to sleep felt empty.  He looked around.  He couldn't see Peaches anywhere, the woman's cardigan was on the chair where he had snuggled in but she wasn't in the room.  He looked for Pandora and thought of her long soft fur which had warmed him as if it was a heat spreading from his heart. She was nowhere to be seen. His eyes searched the room from one end to the other, every corner and every hiding place behind the furniture. He was all alone.  Cupid felt his body freeze as a small glimmer of light caught the corner of his eye. He jumped almost as high as the tip of Pandora's upright  tail before he could stop himself, and then cowered behind his little box, hoping he had not been seen. The light came from the garden, two bright green orbs bobbing about in the dark, and they were coming towards him.  A cat's eyes looking out from the face of a large black cat, the outline of a large furry body just visible stalking across the grass towards him. He was sure he could see something in the cat's mouth...........
