I love them, but than again I am hooked on hairless kitties!!!

I had spoke with Michelle (the breeder) through email a few months ago, she is a great person. She is also the breeder of SGC Belfry Ted NudeGent A/K/A Mr. Bigglesworth from Austin Powers.

Oh gosh...gasp....i love sphynx and am getting one myself but I just can't see the beauty in those kohona cats they are just way too wrinkly. They look like they have melted. Look at pic #2!

At a glance, they look smoother than Sphynx and have more wrinkles, I think. Also, they look oddly like Yoda, only they are not green and their ears are up.
OMG!!!! Did you look at the pictures?????

Same reason they bred for the genetic mutation now known as Sphynx?

I have a cornish rex. I've never really liked the look of totally hairless - but have to admit at least the sphynx do have the rex personality

I hope that if they continue to breed the totally hairless cats they don't promote them as being hyperallergenic cats because if the person is allergic to the saliva of the cat, they will be highly allergic to these cats!

Awwww POOR KITTIES! (And doggies too) Makes me want to knit them some outfits!
(My son came in while I was looking at the pictures.....he thought they had cancer treatments or something)
I wonder whatever caused the mutation?

From looking at the pictures, it looks like whatever mutation that affects the hair follicles also affects the elasticity of the skin.

They make me shiver just a little bit.

But I agree, I want to knit them sweaters.

i had to look for quite a while until i found the eyes on the kitten in pictures #2, lol...

i'm not used to seeing hairless or near-hairless cats. how in the world do they keep warm? that knitting sweaters thing doesn't seem like too bad an idea in this case...

o_O I've never been overly fond of the highly wrinked breeds, be they feline or canine.

But I'm very curious why they are so very much more wrinkly than a normal cat. Are the hair genes really tied into the genes for skin elasticity that much?

Um...yeah...gee I'm not sure what I think of those guys.

The kittens sure are ugly looking and the adults look very grumpy with that wrinkled skin!
