Hello Vets

My cat has this ulcer in his upper palate. He had 3 teeth removed and a biopsy done on ulcer. It was diagnosed as an Oral Eosinophilic Granuloma. Was put on lenisolone and doxycycline. But the ulcer just got bigger. The vet is now going to put him on cancer treatment. They cant tell me what the real cause of the growth is. Now my cat is drooling alot and tends to make these weird noises. What could be the cause of this? The ulcer and now this weird noise. Any assistance will be appreciated.

Tx in advance

Hi! (And, we are NOT vets, btw.) I would get a second opinion (from a vet in another practice, to avoid colleague bias), maybe even an internal medicine specialist and/or dental specialist to see if the dental issue is somehow connected. But I do know that some cases need to be treated with chlorambucil, which is often considered a form of cancer treatment. It actually has immunosuppressive properties and may be used in conjunction with a steroid like lenisoline.

The drooling and weird noise sound like they could be dental related as well, but that is just my layperson opinion.

Hoping other members will come along soon and offer more informative input.
