Other than having dinner, we don't do much overall. I think there will be 9 of us for dinner on Sunday. I had planned on dinner around 2:00, but my brother called last night, saying that he has to be to work by 5:00 and it's a good hour from our house for them to get back home and he's afraid he'll be too rushed for time. So I talked to everybody else and we're going to eat around 12:30. That gives us time to enjoy being together, too, before they have to leave. (I don't know why 2:00 seems to be the time for our family dinners and I know my mother and my aunt used to hate that we were eating "so late". But I hate having to get up in the morning and start rushing around right away. And I always figured that we could just munch the rest of the day and not have to worry about making supper.)
I do have a surprise for Rick's mom. One of her nephews lives in Florida and she doesn't get a chance to talk to him as often as she would like. He and I have made arrangements for him to call here at the house on Sunday afternoon, and they can chat as long as they want. I know she'll be thrilled to hear from him.
I don't think Rick is taking his mother to church; I know she hasn't said anything about it. That will be the first time in a long time that they have not gone to church on Easter Sunday. I'm going into the florist tomorrow to pick up a pretty spring arrangement; we'll use it on our dinner table on Sunday, then Evelyn can take it home to enjoy it. (She just loves fresh flowers and the cats treat any floral arrangements around here as lunch!)
So other than dinner, we're not doing anything. What about you?
