Thank you Kittykat.......... I'll check out Cairo right now...
Thanks! You should see Cardi (or Pembroke, for that matter, but Cardis are my favoritesOriginally Posted by jcribbs
Those corgi's are soooooooo cute!! Oh lordy.. I love it. He might be part corgi. The legs look the same actually except charlie has short hair. The chest also sits low like Charlie. But I also think he is mixed with terrier. Charlie has a big head with a long face. It's hard to really see it in a picture but his head looks too large for his body. It is the head for a much larger dog or so it appears.
and Butter bean is very cute....... that's a great name!!
Charlie is very smart. He catches on quickly to things too.
I was looking at your dogs feet. charlie's feet turn out exactly like that. Does he look part corgi to you? He also has no tail. He was born that way. There is no nub there.
oh geeze, that gave me chills down my spine.Originally Posted by LSULOVER
I found that poem that I was talking about, it is very sad though
A Dog sits Waiting
A dog sits waiting in the cold autumn sun.
Too faithful to leave, to frightened to run.
He's been here for days now with nothing to do.
But sit by the road waiting for you.
He can't understand why you left him that day.
He thought you and he were stopping to play.
He's sure you'll come back, and thats why he stays.
How long will he suffer? How many days?
His legs have grown weak, his throat is parched dry.
He's sick now from hunger and falls, with a sigh.
He lays down his head and closes his eyes.
I wish you could see how a waiting dog dies.
I agree with you, I think they are angelsOriginally Posted by Graciecat
Oh God look at that sweet little face.
How on earth could someone throw him out like he was trash?
There has to be a special place in hell for the people...if you can call them that....who dumped him.
I know for sure that there's a special place in Heaven for people like you and your Husband.
You both should feel so good about yourselves for saving his life, because that's what you did.
I feel the same way, I think even if he was stolen from somebody, I think that somebody didn't take care of him anyways.Originally Posted by KitEKats4Eva!
That all sounds like a good idea - and makes sense, too. However, I'm hoping in my heart that you get to keep him because even if he was well fed, the collar sounds odd, as does the total lack of training and him not knowing how to play. I know if it was me I would want my dog back, but I treat my dogs well (lol) and I kind of feel like this little guys happiness is starting to shine with you, when it probably wasn't before.
It'll take some time to get him used to the cats - you're lucky that they are very experienced with dogs, though, because that really helps if they're not freaking out all over the place. That just revs dogs up. Felix, I think, will settle down, too. He's probably just asserting his supremacy!
