My Mom and Grandma love him. His show is on at 2 different times and they watch it at both times (3pm and midnight). Personally I don't really care for him.
YEAH! But I still watch sometimes, cuz it just cracks me up the things he says. EXCEPT when he makes claims without studies to back himself up. That's one of my biggest pet peeves...no evidence to back up your info and spouting statistics out of context of the study.Originally Posted by katspixiedust
Oh lord I can not STAND Dr. Phil. As a psychology major he is an embarrassment. Every psychologist I know finds him to be harmful to the field. You can not give someone the help they need in 1 hour. I agree with Amy that he's a pompous jerk!

I saw the entire show!!!! the child is very young, she used up her maturnity leave and went back to work. Her husband didn't want her to work. Dr. Phil told her she was being sefish fir working!!!!Originally Posted by Yosemite
I can't imagine him saying that! There must be more to that story than meets the eye!
When I read your post I got to looking to see what kind of degree he actually had, I couldn't think that a network would give someone a TV show with out checking there back groundOriginally Posted by wodesorel
You know, I could have sworn I watched a biography on him that wasn't too flattering. That his "degree" was actually a degree-by-mail program that was not an accredited school. (Meaning that it was nothing more than toilet paper.) And that it wasn't even in psychology. That before his show he actually had no experiance whatsoever in psychology, or even counsiling.
Anyone know if this was just a rumor or not? I could have sworn I saw it on E! (The Entertainment Channel on cable.)
