Donating to a shelter

We donate to a no-kill shelter during the holidays. When I have some good coupons for pet food, I'll buy it and take it to them as well. Old blankets, towels, and such are well-received.

Once I retire and have more time, I'd really like to donate some of my time to the shelter.

And with eight cats in the house, just doing everything we do with our gang is pretty much a full time job sometimes. Sometimes I feel that the only reason I work is to provide for the cats, with all the food, litter and vet bills.
