My cat likes to lick my hair when it's wet after I've showered and I've also noticed that he will try to lick my injuries if I get a cut (I don't let him touch broken skin though!)

This is interesting! You just reminded me that after I had a surgery, and I was healed, my cat found my scar particularly appealing. Would lick the scar often.

I feel like it was just "interesting" in whatever way you can define that in a cat's mind. Maybe tasted different from normal skin, maybe the texture was more appealing... who knows. But he groomed my scar often.
