That makes a lot more sense, I can see why you're upset. I didn't think about it that way, I thought you were offended by the mere fact that they were having the party, celebrating a Christian holiday on Hannukah..which didn't make sense to me and I thought you were overreacting..
In this case, there is a time conflict and not everyone can go, so that does show poor planning..
