Does my cat look depressed or is this normal behavior

she's home alone about 10 hours a day and sleeps alot

Hey well,that picture doesnt really explain alot about the cat's behaviour.Ive owned enough cats to suggest that sleeping most of the day away is quite normal for them.my cats,otherwise healthy, sleep almost throughout the day.so that doesn't really specify whether your cat maybe unhappy.It's her attitude and interaction with you that you should further examine.if she's not being social and/or is avoiding contact and interactions with others,if she isnt grooming,and is not really taking care of herself,or just being plain grumpy amongst other behaviours then there might be something emotionally wrong with her. that being said you have to give her more time.Just keep her around whenever you get the chance.It's much easier for most cats to cope if they have a partner, in my experience.

Hi,

That's what my cat looks like on a hot day. Some cats sleep/relax in the weirdest positions. I think there's other symptoms to look out for, as per previous response.
