No, you are not the only one!
I get headaches when the barometer drops.
A few years ago, we had a serious low pressure system come through and the barometer dropped REALLY fast...my head hurt so bad that I couldn't stand even the softest sound, and anything but a dark room hurt my eyes.
They don't last more than a day, but they are BAD.
Damp weather also makes my knees swell up and hurt.
occasionally, but i get them from all kinds of things... my mom gets what she calls 'weather' headaches, usually when a front comes through [rain kind] we haven't had rain in so long, i don't remember for sure! i though Rita was going to bring us some, but she veered east
I was always looked upon as a real oddball, because I could always tell when rain was coming. It seems that I have low pressure headaches and fortunately, here in AZ, that does not bother me.
When I lived in New Hampshire, sometimes I would be awakened with the feeling that a knife was going through my head. Believe it not, when the pressure got so bad and nothing else would work, two beers would help open up the blood vessels in my head and help stop the pain.
If you want to end pressure headaches, come to AZ.
I've always had problems with my left knee and hip, and a change in pressure leads to me limping for a day or three. I'm going to be one of those old women sat in a home saying 'I can feel it in me bones...'
nope. I get achy legs in a change of weather. Usually when it gets a bit colder and damper. I can't say I notice pressure changes unless there's an electrical storm coming. Even then my first warning is (usually something that should never happen to a girl in public) when the static builds up sufficiently.
Is THAT what it is?? All this time I thought it was my hormones/stress/allergies.
I too had a migraine that lasted several days this past week. My daughter was complaining as well. I know my sinuses are part of the problem (it hurts to press into my eye sockets, to cough, to bend down). I'm glad I'm not the only one who has been plagued by headaches. Maybe it's a cat owner thing??
