My shaded silver Persian, Jinxy, who is 5 1/2 months old, was eating yesterday and started going nuts as if something were caught in his mouth. I looked in his mouth and noticed his gums were bleeding, but couldn't tell why.
I also noticed that on one side of his mouth he had 2 of those long teeth (fangs) next to eachother.
Weird!! Later, when I fed him dinner, the same thing happened; he was going nuts and bleeding. This time I noticed that one of those double fangs was gone. Now he has one fang on each side like any other kitty. But his gums were very red on both sides of his mouth. I am guessing that this is normal and that they lose teeth like children, however, it has been a very long time since I have had a kitten and I just don't remember.
Can anyone tell me if kitties lose teeth and bleed so I can relax???
Thank you.
