My mum says Marbles will turn black when she's older. She's 2 months old right now and is somewhat gray.
It was probably a severe case of fever coat. The points (except from the fact the kitten at least turned black) lead me to believe so. Not even colorpoints or mink points manage to go from blue to black.Originally Posted by GoldenKitty45

My Ling is an exception and no one knows why. She was your cat's color when born (entire litter was that way) but she had dark points (blue then black when older). By 3 1/2 months she changed to black. But I have NEVER had that happen before. We have no idea why or what really is her background. Has to be some kind of oriental/pointed or tonkinese type to do those color changes.
But you do have a true blue cat.
