hi, i'm distol and i have 5 beautiful spoiled rotton cats, one adorable chinchilla and one handsome hammy.
a little about each little feline 'angel' :
Sunny is my oldest at 5 years. she's the mamma cat to all the others. if one of the kids needs a lick or a hug, she's there to supply it. but if someone needs to be taken down a notch, she's there to do it. she is the queen bee of the group so no one messes with her.
Chloe is the resident...let's say...diva. she's 4 and just about the biggest prima donna you'd ever meet. she'll turn her nose up at her food if it's too close one of the other cats bowls. if she wants cuddles and she is not the center of attention, she'll sulk in the corner. if one of the other babies walk to close to her when she's in a 'mood' she'll hiss for no apparant reason. she's beautiful, she knows it and she expect to be treated like the princess she is!
Lilly is 3 and such a delicate little flower. she looks like she should be a porceline statue with her little button nose and big beautiful yellow eyes. she's a prim and proper little lady...her tail is always wrapped properly around her when she sits, when she's curled up sleeping, her little nose is always tucked into her perfectly wrapped tail. she's our little southern belle.
Rikki is almost 2. he's 15 pounds of solid muscle and could take down a giraffe if he so chose. and yet he's such a mama's boy. at bedtime he'll sit by my feet and look at me and yawn and blink his eyes as if to say 'mom! i'm tired! let's go to sleep!' as soon as i get into bed he'll take his spot at either my side or my knees, have a bath and go promptly to sleep.
Elly is about 5 months old. she was rescued by my husband from a dogs mouth about 2ish weeks ago. for a cat that had such a scary experience, she's so gentle and loving. she has the biggest purr for such a little girl. all we have to do is look at her and wink and she's purring like a tractor! Rikki is completely smitten by her. she lets out the tiniest 'mew' and he comes running to make sure she's okay.
those are my babies and me.
we're all thrilled to be members of this forum. we have lots of experience to share and look forward to all the experience you all have to share!
distol and the fuzzies.
