Hello,

This is sort of an add-on to a question I've asked previously.

Tomorrow I'm going to try to catch some of our feral kittens, rather than wait until everyone is back after the holiday weekend. The last time I waited, a kitten got run over, so I just hate waiting.

Anyway. So I'm going to end up with cats or kittens in a crate, which I'll then have to take through our apartment so I can leave the crate on our balcony. Until next Tuesday (when a rescue group can come), I'll be changing the litter box, changing food and possibly bedding on the balcony.

Both of our indoor cats are vaccinated for distemper and rabies; one is vaccinated for FELV.

There's obviously going to be stray hair and such. What should I worry about transmitting to our cats???

Our cats have both had URIs and feline herpesvirus (maybe I should worry about giving something to the kittens, though I don't expect to be handling them).

Of course I clean with antibacterial soaps and lotions, and try to change my clothes and shower.

?????????????
