Hi. Has anyone who feeds their cats Weruva brand catfood ever had any issues with the catfood being discolored? I have purchased cans and pouches of various flavors of the paté and every single one has been discolored - the top layer and occasionally the bottom is a dark brown/greenish color. Unusually scrape it off because if I miss a spot, my cat won't eat it. I'm considering switching to a different brand because of this. With that said, does anyone have any recommendations for a high quality, yet affordable catfood? My firbabies are 10 and 6.

Where do you think?
The brown on the bottom is probably from the oven where they cook the food. It's actually cooked inside the can.

As for the rest of the food, unless they add preservatives or colour it can very greatly depending on the batch and vat it came from.

Unless there's mold or actual spoilage I wouldn't worry.

This is also happening with the pouches, not just the cans.

I suggest taking pictures of the affected food and contacting Weruva to ask what the discoloration is.
