It was on the news tonight. A women spent 30 days in jail because when she divorced from her husband he got custody of their 2 cats. She wouldn't give them up, said they ran away, when in reality she put the kitties in hiding. So far she has not released the whereabouts of the cats.
Now this is my kind of women!!!
She must love them very much to spend 30 days in jail.
Well, before I jump on the bandwagon here I'd like to know more about this case. For instance:
1. Were the cats anyone's property to begin with? In other words, were they "her" cats, "his" cats, or "their" cats? It sounds like the law says they're his cats now.
2. Did this guy abuse the cats? Did he love them less than his wife? Did he want them, as part of the settlement, just in order to harm her? Has she broken the law just to harm him? The devil is in the details.
If it turns out he's in fact a bad guy who didn't love the cats, I'll add my cheers to yours. Otherwise, I'm not too keen on supporting criminal activity.
I think if he treated the cats right, and loved them too, she shouldn't hide them from him. But if he didn't care about them, then that is another story...but if he didn't care, it wouldnt be an issue, so I assume he cares.
