Our newest addition, Mercury, as recently developed diarrhea. When we first brought him home, it was normal but I have noticed in the days we've had him it was very soft, not quite watery but just very very soft and then when we woke up this morning I happened to glance in his litter box and it was very very watery and I *THOUGHT* I saw blood but it had already started to dry a bit so I don't know if thats what it actually was or just the way it looked as it dried. It wasn't a dark red or black, more of an orangey red color and only a few small places looked like that. Neither Leo or Nova have showed any symptoms at all so I don't think its a virus. Could it be his change in diet? He is still very active, loving, he eats and drinks fine and other than the diarrhea he seems perfectly normal and healthy. He went from being an indoor cat to an indoor/outdoor cat as well. Could that be the cause of it? Rest assured if it continues or become much worse or bloody we are taking him straight to the vet but I just wanted a bit of advice on how to handle it if it is only minor as we've never had this problem.
(On a small side note: Things between him and Nova are calming. There are still a few hisses and low growls but really only when it concerns food or sharing attention, other wise Nova tends to ignore him and has gone back to his usual routine though he is still a bit miffed at us but the treats are slowly winning him over haha.)
