Hi everyone new to the site, i desperately need advice. I adopted two 4 month old kittens in August that immediately had bloody diarrhea, I took them to the vet and they tested positive for giardia. We treated with metronidazole for a month and panacur. 3 days after stopping treatment one cats Riggs immediately started have liquid diarrhea I called my vet and we tested for for all parasites and it came back negative we started a prescription i/d diet and started metronidazole again. A week after that the other cat Murtaugh also began to have mushy diarrhea again, we tested his fecal sample which also xame vack negative for all parasites. We started them on Ronidazole and at first it started to work but recently Riggs has gone back to pure liquid. Both cats are happy, playful, gaining weight and growing, Im wondering if being on antibiotics straight for 2 months in addition to them having giardia for most likely their first 4 minths of life is the cause ir if something else is going on. Im at a loss, my vet is at a loss has anyone else experienced this? I just feel bad the little guys have been through so much.
