Detente On The Lap

Der Baron von Komfy and Great Great Grandma don’t get along. At the slightest provocation, ears get laid back, teeth are shown and blows are exchanged with fuzzy feet. And a major provocation is one getting on my lap when the other wants to be there.

But once in a while they’ll share the space in their own special way, while kitty egos are maintained.

Misfit is know to stalk and swat the other cats and the dog without provocation.

She also isn't much of a lap cat.

There was that one day last winter that Tangent was on my lap and Misfit decided to experiment with the "lap thing". I had to squish over and slouch down in my desk chair so that Tangent maintained "lap cat" status undisturbed while Misfit jockeyed herself into the "stomach cat" position.
