I'm not sure if this should be in health or nutrition..... It's more dental health than nutrition.
I've read about freeze dried meat treats for cats, that encourage chewing....
Does anyone know where I can buy these? or even what they are called? (I'm Canadian)
Do you know of any other treats that encourage a cat to chew???
Kizzy chews his one wet cat food (it looks like flaked tuna.... and some are longer strips so he actually chews them). Dry food he chews occassionally but not much. The treats I do have, he just inhales LOL.... no chewing.
When I cook chicken, I'll give him a few pieces of it (he won't eat raw) and he chews that....
but I'm really looking for treats that he will chew, that I could give a couple a day to help dental health and just make him chew.
Thx for any advice.
(he chews on some toys, does that help clean their teeth at all? Yes that is a serious question even tho I laughed writing it.... but seriously, he latches on to this puffball on a wand toy and we play tug of war).
