Dental Care For Gums

I know there are a few gels out there like Zymax and Orathene which come in gels and water additives. Just looking to see if anyone has a particular brand they use? I see some have aloe and I Know thats not good. I brush my cats teeth but id like to find something to rub on his gums to sooth, they get a bit red and my vet does know he has some issues there. However he has a heart murmr so dental surgery is kind of out of the question right now. Thanks for any advice.

Have you read up on Manuka honey or coconut oil. Both are supposed to help. I am not recommending them as I have tried neither but it is worth looking into them and maybe ask your vet for their opinion
