Hi all
I rescue cats on a greek island, and I've vaccinated many many cats, hundreds, never had a reaction.
I vaccinated this 10 month old castrated male, negative to FIV and FeLV last Tuesday midday
Thursday night probably he was already feeling weaker, I noticed it Friday morning, he had 40 C fever.
Gave him fluids and called the vet. he said if temp not down by the night to give him an injection.
He had vomited yellowish fluid twice and salivating a lot.
I also gave him meds for the nausea,
Vet thinks it cannot be a reaction to the vaccines so late. He had Rabisin and Fel-O-Vax IV
How he is back to normal, he is eating again, still salivating but vomiting stopped. His temp is 37.5 C
I have him in a warm place and stopped the fluids as he started eating again.
BUT has anyone had this symptoms after more than 38 hrs of the vaccines ?
Is a rural area and vets are not excellent and do not have other choice as is an island.
Thank you a lot for any advise.
Ronit
