Hugo, one of our office pets, passed away a few months ago from complications. :( It was difficult for everyone as we were used to seeing him on a daily basis. Time for grieving and sharing great memories we had with Hugo definitely helped the process along. My coworker wrote this piece honoring Hugo with tips as well for owners once their beloved pet has crossed the bridge: Dealing with Grief - The Tragedy of the Loss of a Pet. Hoping this helps a bit for other pet owners out there coping with loss.

Thank you so much for sharing, it was wonderful! People mourn pets every bit as deeply as humans, the heart knows no difference.
I'm so sorry for your loss, the emptiness it brings can be overwhelming at first. RIP sweet Hugo!
