Hello,
I'm new to the forum and raw feeding. I have a 4 month old kitten, currently on natures menu wet, I've offered her a few mice, chicken wings and some cow heart, all of which she loved. She was growling like a little tiger with her chicken wings, so cute.[emoji]128525[/emoji]
Anyway after much umming and ahhing I've decided the whole prey item way is for me, I just wouldn't be comfortable making my own I would be too worried about messing up.
I'm a bit worried about variety, even switching between feeders it seems a bit limited compared to a cats natural diet? Is it really complete, should I supplement just incase with taurine for example? Does freezing deplete anything from the food? Would it be beneficial to swap a few meals for a complete raw diet like natures instinct for variety?
Sorry for all the questions! OK with the information I have now, I was thinking of feeding her for the week:
Day old chicks once every other day, buying a small rabbit/quail to be split for the week, with the rest of her food being made up of mice and rats. I have a beardie so she can have some bug's aswell, not sure if they contribute much to the diet but she loves chasing them .
Thanks,
Lucy and Bonkers.
