I noticed last night that my female was in heat and about the same time I noticed, my neutered male did too. He kept trying to mount her and I kept knocking him off. I eventually sepereated them for the night but I was gone all day yesterday and so I think he may have gotten to her. My question is this: If my neutered male did indeed manage to "successfully" mate with my female cat, could that cause a false pregnancy. If so, what are the odds and how soon can I tell? She has had one litter before and so I can't tell by her nipples.
By the way, just so you all know, I will be getting the female spayed within the next month or 2 and she can't get outside so she won't be getting preggers againI already have my other female and my male cat fixed. I appreciate any advice I can get.
