I'm fairly anal about my kitchen too, except there are times when I'm just too tired after a long day of work, or if supper gets on the table a bit later than I thought it would, then I just don't have the energy some nights, and I'll wake up early and clean it up before work the next day.

Hubby cooks so after dinner I go and clean the kitchen and to the dishes. It's the first room people see when they come to my house and I hate it when it's dirty. That bothers me. First impressions are lasting ones. SO if they see ONE room clean, at least they know I'm not a total slob, just a partial one! LOL!
