Oh boy, that's quite some time.  

I have to say that since we started to give him the hairball stuff again, he's been a lot better.  He hasn't thrown up since the day I posted this which is nearly a week.  I've also given both of them half an egg yolk each a couple of times mixed in with their wet food, which both liked.  Been brushing as usual also, good thing both enjoy being groomed.  

I totally forgot about raising his food dish, so I'm going to send myself a reminder right now so that when I get home it will get done.  I'm getting older and my tendency to be mindless about personal things is problematic, although I'm still totally on the ball at work

That's great that he hasn't thrown up. I'm glad to hear the hairball remedies are helping. Maybe you won't have to try a food elimination diet which does sound like a pain.
