I am preparing this in advance b/c I don't think I can later. This is what I wrote years ago on their webspace:
Connor and Princess were born in 1997 on St. Patty's Day weekend. Mom's friend, Barbara, lives in South Philly. She had a stray living in her backyard who had litters after litters. That stray is their mother and still lives with Barb but is now fixed
When the timing was right and a new litter was born, we went to check out the last 2 she had left. We didn't plan to come home with them that day but we couldn't resist. They were so tiny and cute.
They didn't adjust well to me moving back to college just 3 short months after we got them. Princess was my little girl until I moved out. I think she feels I abandoned her.
Connor reminds me of Garfield the cat. He eats and sleeps. He also carries around a stuffed elephant like pookie.
Princess is a real you know what. She doesn't let anyone near her unless she wants you to. Her favorite toys are rubber soccer balls, esp yellow ones.
Connor was never pudgy. We found that out after we got Lucky and then Cello. Neither Princess nor Connor liked the new visitors as they moved in but over time they grew to love each other.
Connor didn't like Spunky when he was born, now it is the opposite way around. Princess loves to chase Cello around the house. I think Spunky has a crush on Princess. Connor enjoyed his short lived "special" moments with Molly prior to her being fixed.
Peanut was very close to Nana and while Nana was home sick she stayed away. One night just before Nana's passing, Nana called out to Princess. Princess came down a few stairs to look down at Nana. Princess used to sit with Nana as she watched her soaps.
They now are enjoying their freedom to roam and cuddle with Nana. I miss them so much. I wish we could have offered more in these last few years.
This photo was taken around 1998 when they were both happy.
