Hello!
I've taken in a cute lil kitten who was separated from mom and litter-mates between 4 and 5 weeks, found malnourished and exhausted in my backyard during the recent heatwave. Kitten is currently working on weaning from stage 2 food to solid. Had a basic vet exam and a negative combo test. Has gone from 435g to 505g in about 3 days, and is using a litterbox without prompting.
I had thought the kitten was a girl at first, but now that it's a bit bigger and I've been able to get a better look and checked some reference photos, I'm thinking I've got a lil guy on my hands and would appreciate confirmation. I called the vet that examined the kitten but the sex isn't in their exam notes and vet assistant who examined the kitten is out for the next couple days.
