Who knew cats could be snug? What sweet innocent little angels they are.

I can attest that birds are smug. They also say "Ouch!" and then laugh and laugh as you run for safety. I could not make this stuff up, folks. Did I mention this is all my brother's fault? Not trying to hijack the thread, but any opportunity to blame my brother must be taken.

nurseangel There is a family (?) of blue jays who call this yard home. They have special calls for different things, including raccoon sightings. The first time I saw the current raccoon couple in the back yard, the first one had his back turned to me and I was panicking, wondering how in the world Elvis (indoors only, of course, safe and healthy!) could have gotten out. He turned around and I saw his mask. The blue jays apparently don't have a word for "raccoon." Their call sounds like, "CAT! CAT! CAT!!!"
