I called my vet today as Frontline Plus is not working on our flea poblem. After using it I have cleaned, usedspray for furniture and carpets, vacumed everything. I have done this several times. I have only seen a couple fleas even when using a flea comb but after I gave the comfortis that the vet gave me, two hours later I am combing lots of dead and almost dead (which go in dawn dishwashing soap and water).
I was able to crush it up in wet food and give it to them that way. Wet food is an occasional food here so they lapped it up. So far no side effects. Vet said most side effects occur in the first hour after giving it. Comfortis is only approvd for dogs right now but vets RX it off label for cats. It is going through the approval stage right now for cats.
So tomarrow will be magor cleaning day again. Hpoefully the last magor one. If this works I will be giving it monthly. Its $10 per cat a month. Costs thesame if I by a 6pk but will be easier for me to afford monthly.
