Sheesh, what a thing for my 700th post to be about

Somebody tell me please that there IS a coffeemaker out there that does not come with a "dribble carafe?" We just bought this coffeemaker to replace this one which we've had less than 3-4 months. In that time it's just about destroyed the countertop finish on the baker's rack that I use for a coffee center as there is absolutely NO way you can pour the thing without dribbling.
And the new Delonghi is not much better.
Don't product designers make prototypes of this stuff anymore? I mean they look good, but they're practically unusable without causing a huge mess. I think they've forgotten the cardinal "form follows function" and are going for form over function.
I really didn't want to spend a huge amount on a coffeemaker, but it looks like there's a Krups or some such in our future as I've already spent $60 on these that I can't really use.
Time to go a-froogling ...
