Keep reading where dog owners use coconut oil for various problems. Made me wonder if cats can eat coconut oil? Any ideas?

I use it topically.  My cat Tripper had a bout of allergies recently and he scratched his ear to pieces.  There was bleeding and whatnot.  I cleaned it out and used a bit of coconut oil to dab on the spots.  I use it on my own cuts and bruises, it heals mega fast with coconut oil.  For my cat, the redness went away and if he were to ingest it, it is edible.  :)  Just a fyi.. I do use the cold press type without scent removal.

I had gotten some to give my dog but she didn't like it. My cat would come running when she heard me open the container and she would lick a little off my finger like it was a treat. It was funny because I was in the bathroom putting it in my hair and she would sit at the bathroom door waiting to get some. It works great for a conditioning treatment for your hair also.
