I have a cat with allergies and someone suggested adding coconut oil to her food, is this OK? I have read a couple of healthcare sites info and they suggest that coconut can be useful for a cat with allergies, does anyone have any experience?

...and if it is a hairball issue, then consider using egg yolk lecithin instead. 1/2 capsule (400mg) given 2x a week, just sprinkle the half-capsule on the food. http://www.care2.com/greenliving/help-your-cat-overcome-hairballs.htmlThis is an ancient thread started by someone with "a cat with allergies".............
